Opportunity for Project Engineer with a Construction Company based out of Martinez/Benicia, CA. This is a direct hire position with benefits.



JOB SUMMARY



The Project Engineer provides support to the Superintendent and Project Managers on an assigned project. Performs routine daily activities and assist in gathering and distributing information to team members. 



ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES



Candidate must have the skills, ability, and judgment to perform the following essential job duties and responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodation:



  • Offers general support to project team as required to ensure work compiles with applicable codes, drawings, and specifications



  • Coordinates change orders, expedites materials and job site requirements



  • Assist in preparing estimates and project schedules



  • Compiles data to assist in analyzing project progress including production quantities, reviewing timecards, and daily reports  



  • Learn how to draft work authorizations with support of higher-level Project Engineers and Project Managers



  • Prepare, track and process RFIs, change orders, and billings



  • Track and process vendor/subcontractor invoices



  • Forecast future costs associated with projects



  • Assist in assembling a job start up



  •  “Work Hard” mentality with desire/runway to grow career within the company 

  • Desire to work in the field and ability to travel as necessary to project sites in CA Area including Bakersfield

  • Salary plus:

Job Requirements

KEY JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • 2+ Years of Project Coordinator experience or Bachelors Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field



  • Must be able to commute to and from remote job locations



  • Possesses strong written & verbal communications skills



  • Ability to manage time effectively and multi-task



  • Ability to read and understand drawings and specifications is preferred



  • Strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office programs including Microsoft Project& Excel



  • Detail-oriented with a positive attitude & eagerness to learn



  • Must own a valid driver’s license
